TIDAL ArtS returns this October with a new open call for artists.
This second call offers €50,000 grants and residencies in four distinct European locations.
– Venice, Italy – where rising waters meet ancient artistry.
– The Azores, Portugal – a volcanic archipelago shaped by ocean and isolation.
– Turku Archipelago, Finland – a mosaic of islands rich in light, ecology and folklore.
– The Danube, Hungary – where rivers flow through memory, culture and resistance.
What’s on offer:
• €50,000 per artist or collective
• Site-based residencies in one of four locations
• Time and space to develop ambitious, ocean science-inspired work
• Local support and international visibility
Who should apply?
Artists from any discipline – visual, digital, sound, performance, moving image, installation, or hybrid practices. Whether emerging or established, we’re looking for proposals that reflect a connection to oceans, rivers, and basins, a strong environmental purpose, and a connection to people and place.
